Alex Jones began his career in Austin with a public-access cable television program in 1995. The next year, he started hosting a radio program on KJFK called The Final Edition. While hosting the program, he blamed the US government for the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.

In 1998, he released his first documentary film titled America Destroyed By Design. In 1999, Alex was fired from KJFK. After his directorial debut, he began his acting career in 2001 appearing in the film Waking Life.

The following year, he published his first book titled 9-11: Descent Into Tyranny. In 2006, Jones began hosting his own radio program, The Alex Jones Show. He published his second book in 2008 titled The Answer to 1984 is 1776.

His show was a very popular show at that time and he claimed that his program had over 2 million listeners per week.

In June 2013, he appeared as a guest on the BBC’s show Sunday Politics. Jones is popular for his aggressive style of hosting. In 2016, he appeared in the film Amerigeddon.
