Ali Wong officially filed for divorce from her husband Justin Hakuta.
The actress filed in Beverly Hills on Friday nearly two years after they confirmed their split. Documents obtained by TMZ stated that Wong cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
TMZ also stated that the 41-year-old star has requested for their prenup to be enforced, and they both are currently in mediation to sort out their assets and decide on any spousal and child support.
The couple who tied the knot in 2014, are parents to two minor daughters, Mari, 8, and Nikki, 6.
The comedian requested joint legal and physical custody of their daughters.
The couple were married for 8 years and their source also revealed that they ‘‘will continue to co-parent lovingly,”
The documents listed the date of their separation as April 10, 2022, which is just two days before Wong’s spokesperson confirmed that the two were separating.
This March, Wong revealed to Hollywood Reporter that she and the former GoodRx VP are still very close and are best friends.
She explained, “We’ve been through so much together. It’s a very unconventional divorce.”

Is Ali Wong dating anyone after splitting from Justin?
During her 2016 standup special Baby Cobra, the actress joked that she desperately wanted to make Hakuta fall for her once she discovered he was a business student at Harvard.
She recalled,
“I was like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m gonna trap his ass. Going to trap his ass!’”
“And I trapped his ass initially by not kissing him until the fifth date, which is a very unusual move on my part.”
In her 2019 memoir, Dear Girls: Intimate Tales, Untold Secrets & Advice for Living Your Best Life, she said that signing a prenup motivated her to have a successful career.
She penned,
“That prenup scared the s–t out of me. In the end, being forced to sign that prenup was one of the greatest things that ever happened to me and my career,”
After their split, Wong quickly moved on with actor Bill Hader for only a few months in 2022.
After their short split, the couple got back together in April 2023 and even showed PDA during a stroll through Los Angeles.
A source said during their brief split,
“They’re no longer dating. They dated very briefly. They’re just super busy with things, but [the split] was certainly amicable. They’re certainly friends,”
