On August 18, Tuesday, The American Idol alum Colton Dixon and his wife Annie Dixon welcomed twin babies.

The couple gushingly announced the news of their children’s arrival in the world. The singer posted the picture of babies’ feet on his Instagram with an adorable caption that reads:

“Everyone meet Ava Dior and Athens Elizabeth Dixon,”

Back in February 2020, the singer announced they would be welcoming a new member of the family in the fall. As being a celebrity couple, they shared a glimpse of their pregnancy journey with their audience.

Moreover, at the time, the singer posted an ultrasound with the caption:

“Thought we were just going in for our first ultrasound for our first child. Turns out it was for our first TWO kids!!! We’re having TWINS!!!!!”

After the announcement of the pregnancy, Annie kept her fans updated with the snap of her growing baby bump.

The relationship between the singer and his wife

In September 2015, the singer asked his girlfriend to marry him. He made a plan to propose to Annie at Walt Disney World in Florida. They tied the knot in Nashville after four months of Annie saying YES to the singer.

After the ceremony, he proudly announced his big day to the world, saying:

“Married my best friend last night. I love you @anniecog. What a great night with family and friends!”

The adorable couple showcases their love for each other on social media with amazing lines for each other. On the occasion of their fourth anniversary, Annie posted some highlights of their wedding pictures with a sweet tribute attached.

She wrote:

“We do a lot of things together and while we have our individual goals and dreams, at the end of the day we pray together and believe God together. There is power in your prayers together. That’s why the enemy fights it so hard. It may feel awkward at first, but it’s SO WORTH IT!”

The career path of Colton Dixon

The singer kicked off his singing career after he gained fame on American Idol. He appeared in the audition with his sister Schyler in Nashville.

Though the brother-sister duo could not make it to the last, he made his career outside the show.

With an appearance on many shows and some of his guest appearances, Colton gained a lot of fame. He also did some stage performances after his elimination from American Idol. Moreover, he also released his solo album “Never Gone” with his Idol tour in 2012.

In October 2012, he released his debut album “You Are” which hit US radio airwaves. He is continuing his successful music career with more of his albums in the future.
