She has two elder sisters; Sarah Van der Pol and Rachel Van der Pol. At the age of three years, her parents migrated to the United States.

Moving toward her academics, she completed her elementary education at the Washington Elementary School. When she at the 3rd class, she started her acting. Later, she completed her higher studies at the Orange County High Schools of the Arts in Santa Ana with Honors in the Music Theatre in 2002.
