Austin Agustin Santos is an American rapper, songwriter, and singer who is most commonly known by his stage name Arcangel.

On December 23, 1985, he was born to Carmen Rosas (mother) and Augustin Santos (father). As of 2023, he is 23 years old. He was the eldest of three children.

His mother, Carmer is a former member of the all-women merengue group, Las Chicas del Can, which was popular from the late 1980s to the early 1990s.

Arcangel was born in the US state of East Harlen and later emigrated to Puerto Rico.

He spent his childhood listening to all kinds of music, but rock music had a big influence on him.

He especially enjoys listening to Robi Draco Rosa, a Puerto Rican pop-rock musician and former member of Menudo.

In 2022, Arcangel moved to Puerto Rico where he met De La Ghetto, and the two collaborate on an underground act.

The pair were signed to Zion’s record company, Baby Records, a Universal Music Group subsidiary. They were working on their reggaeton albums while also being part of Machete Music since 2004.

Arcángel & De La Ghetto rose to prominence in 2006 on the reggaeton compilation album Sangre Nueva hosted by Héctor “El Father” with their popular song “Ven Pegate.”

The same year he left the group to pursue a solo career. In 2008, he released his first solo album, “El Fenómeno”. Hit songs from the album included “Pa’ Que La Pases Bien” and “Por Amar a Ciegas.”

Since then, Arcangel has put out a number of popular albums and singles, such as “Sentimiento, Elegancia & Maldad” and “Los Favoritos.”

He has also worked with numerous other musicians in the Latin music industry, such as Daddy Yankee, Wisin & Yandel, and Bad Bunny.

The two presently living a blissful conjugal life. They also shared a daughter together named Angelica Lucero Santos, who was born on December 29, 2009.
