RIP Gangsta Boo! Memphis rapper Gone too soon
The former member of the Memphis hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia, Gangsta Boo died shortly after she posted New Year 2023 post on her Instagram account.
Gangsta Boo posted a video of herself performing on stage on her Instagram account followers on New Year’s Eve, captioning,
“Some of the things that I did in 2022! So fun and productive, climbed out my shell alot!! 2023 go be 23’n! #JORDAN #BOOPRINT #recap Happy New 2023 everyone!”
American rapper Gangsta was found lying dead at her home in Memphis at around 4 pm on Sunday. The death reason of the Memphis-based rapper is not known yet, just wait for the autopsy report to unveil.
Three 6 Mafia founder DJ Paul was one of the earliest to announce the news of her former colleague’s death with a picture of her on Instagram but she couldn’t even utter a word. Hours later she shared the horrific day, citing 3 musicians who died the same day.

Singers and Rapper around the world paid tribute to the late artist
Rapper Lil Jon replied to the death announcement post of the pioneer of female Southern rap music Gangsta Boo, writing,
“MAN WE WAS JUS TOGETHER 3 WEEKS AGO. REST WELL QUEEN.”
Fellow Memphis rapper Duke Deuce also commented on the tragic death of the American musician.
“Long Live The Queen.”
2 Chainz also simply replied to the death after feeling devastated. Ty Dolla Sign then reacts to the death news by saying,
“Damn queen we were locked in.”
American radio DJ Peter Rosenberg then rushed to pay tribute to the late rapper who sang Enquiring Minds on Twitter, writing,
“Gangsta Boo was such a unique artist… style wise, voice wise …energy. She was not the token woman of the crew … she really brought her own style to 3-6/Hypnotized Minds and made them a better more complete click/label…”
He shared a YouTube link to Gangsta Boo’s collaboration with Yelawolf and Eminem, adding:
“Gangsta Boo was on a record with @eminem and absolutely killed it … slept on banger with her, em , and @Yelawolf.”
