DJ Paul is an American DJ, record producer, rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He is professionally known as DJ Paul whereas his real name is Paul Duane Beauregard.

Dj is also a founding member of the hip hop group Three 6Mafia along with Juicy J. He is also best known as the brother of the late rapper Ricky T. Dunigan aka Lord Infamous.

In the year 1988, Paul started his career as a DJ in Memphis club “380 Beale”. But in the mid, he focused on musical instead of Djing.

In early 2013, he again proceeds on performing as a DJ and created a DJ duo called S.I.M (Sex is Mandatory). The group created a number of live sets and remixes to songs including Just Blaze & Baauer’s called “Higher”.

Musical Career

A year after he formed the duo The Serial Killaz along with his late brother, Lord Infamous. In the duo, he served as the producer and beats maker whereas his brother would rap over.

In 1992, they released their first tape, Portrait of a Serial Killa. Later, the group acquired two more members, Gangsta Boo and Crunchy Black, and changed its name to Three 6 Mafia. In 1995, the group self-released their debut studio album called Mystic Stylez.

The same year, they signed with Relatively Records. Later, they started their own label Hypnotize Minds, and signed a number of local artists such as La Chat, Frayser Boy, Lil Wyte, and more.

Paul releases his debut solo studio album title Underground Volume 16: For da Summa in 2002. The album peaked at the number 127 at the Billboard 200. Moreover, his other studio album is, Scale-A-Ton (2009), A Person of Interest (2012), Master of Evil (2015),  Powers, Pleasure & Painful Things (2019), and so on.

Other Works

Paul starred in MTV’s 2007 reality show Adventures in Hollyhood along with Juicy J. He also appeared in VH1’s cooking show Famous Food alongside seven other celebrities and eventually won first place.

DJ personally stated that he has been arrested numerous times during an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. At the age of 17, he was sent to jail for the first time.

Moreover, he was arrested in New York in October 2012, few days before his third album was released when a Taser stun gun was found on him during a routine search. After his release, he commented on the arrest that he thought it was at the same level as pepper spray and he didn’t know that it was illegal.
