Playing anti-war tunes. After the war, he moved to Japan and worked as a DJ for ‘KSBK,’ the country’s first civil English broadcasting station. In the 1970s, he traveled to the United States and worked for ‘KIDD’ in Monterey, California.

He began his career as a rock music DJ before transitioning to host radio debate shows.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, his studio-produced radio show Coast to Coast AM became one of the most popular. It was aired on more than 500 stations and heard by over 15 million people.
