American YouTuber, Aspyn Ovard, 28 has lost faith in the institution of marriage. She does not believe it anymore after her divorce from her ex-husband, Parker Ferris.

Aspyn Ovard and her distrust of marriage

Once upon a time, American YouTuber and vlogger, Aspyn Ovard, 28 was a happily married woman. But things turned sour and she divorced her husband, Parker Ferris.

Now, on a podcast, the social media influencer has expressed on what she thinks about marriage. She was on the podcast ‘Weekly trash’ when she revealed that she does not believe in marriage anymore. And she has no plans to remarry.

She told host Josie Van Dyke in the 16 September 2024 episode:

“I don’t think I believe in the concept of marriage at this point, you just never know what life is gonna throw at you,”

She added that she will never be able to commit to the legality of marriage again. Further, she continued:

“I would have a long-term partner If I met someone,”
“But to get legally married I would never do it again.”

Aspyn is of the opinion that to separate in a legal marriage is hard. She prefers the option of having just a relationship. That would give her the ability and freedom to separate easily if she no more likes to be in it.

The timeline of Aspyn’s relationship with Parker Ferris

Parker Ferris and Aspyn met and liking each other started a relationship. They took their relationship one level higher to get married on 13 October 2015. It was an open-air wedding in St. George, Utah.

The Utah native and her husband share three kids together. They are Cove, 4 and Lola, 2.5. The name and age of third child is not known but this child arrived around the time that Aspyn and Parker filed for divorce this April.

Court documents show that the two filed for divorce on 1 April 2024. They paused the divorce proceedings in late April 2024 to have the settlement negotiations. Later, in July, the mother of three revealed that she did not talk about divorce for the sake of her kids.

At that time, Aspyn also moved out of her Utah home to a new house in California with her children. She added that she always wanted to do this move.
