Brandon Jenner opened up about his relationship with his father Caitlyn Jenner in an interview with US Weekly while promoting his new UnchainedTV series, At Home With the Jenners.

The singer, 42, disclosed that despite an earlier they had a harsh relationship, he and Caitlyn now enjoy a “great” and “very close” connection.

He told the outlet,

“I talk to my dad almost every day, We have a lot of things in common. … We’re both pilots, so we share a hanger, and we’re up there at least a couple times a week working on planes and flying and stuff. So, we’re very good friends and we have a great relationship, definitely better than it’s ever been, or just more close than it’s ever been, which is nice.”

In addition, his wife Cayley Jenner revealed that their 3-year-old twin sons have a nickname for Caitlyn and call her “Boom Boom.” She shared,

“Boom Boom’s present and the kids ask about her and want to see her, and they love to see her when she’s around, So, it’s really nice.”

Further, Brandon is also a dad to 8-year-old daughter Eva from his previous relationship with Leah James.

Brandon Jenner is parenting his children “differently” from his parent

Brandon has always complained that his father didn’t spend much time with him while growing up, especially after she married Kris Jenner in 1991.

That is one of the reasons that he had strained relationships with Caitlyn in the past.

During the interview, the dad of three shared his parenthood journey and reflected on how he is raising his children “differently” from his parents.

“I would say that the thing that I do most differently is just be really present, Both my parents, my mom and my dad, were really busy when I was growing up,”

He explained,

“I really try to be involved with them. I really try to do fun stuff. I’m just a very present father as much as I can be. I think that’s kind of the biggest thing is that the life that I’m really trying to lead is kids first and everything else kind of comes afterwards, Kids and wife together”
