Britain’s celebrity cosmetic doctor Dr. Tijion Esho steps in to help a woman with a botched lip enhancing procedure!
- Cosmetic surgery has its own dangers
- The latest person to be a victim of such a botched procedure was a woman from the UK
British celebrity cosmetic doctor, Dr. Tijion Esho stepped in to help the patient and set the wrong things right. He also warned on cheap treatments and their consequences.
The messed-up aesthetic surgery
There was a shocking video of a woman from whose lips pus was oozing out. This was a woman who had undergone lip enhancement by means of cosmetic fillers.
Dr. Tijion Esho shared the video and in it, a patient is squeezing out thick yellow pus from the top lip which infected after having a cut-price cosmetic surgery performed on it.
The celebrity doctor had posted on his Instagram and captioned it thus:
“When lip fillers go wrong. I get sent A LOT of emergency cases. This young lady contacted today with this video. She’s now on my emergency table!”
Dr. Esho opines on such surgeries
Dr. Esho who is on Channel 4’s Body Fixers spoke to FEMAIL and warned:
“I am inundated with patients who need help after having fillers administered by unqualified or unregistered practitioners in a bid to save money. He warned such procedures can lead to infections, tissue dying and even disfigurement.”
Dr. Esho continued:
“Risks include bleeding, bruising, infection, and allergy.
‘In some rare but most concerning cases, this can lead to tissue necrosis where the blood vessel is blocked by preventing blood to that area of tissue which can then die, leading to disfigurement.”
He went on to clarify that the risk of infection is present in any procedure but the chances of it increase when one the product or filler used is not well-regulated and/or incorrectly administered. Dr. Esho further said:
“Elements that put you at high risk are the use of unregulated products, an unsanitary clinic, poor aftercare and sharing syringes.”
Dr. Esho has requested any person who wants to undergo the procedure to check that the doctor who is performing it is registered with the relevant regulating authority, is insured with the Medical Defence Union, and the conditions in they are operating is clean.
Dr. Esho further explained:
“This is so important as medical professionals undergo several years of medical training, The training is not just to perform the treatments but also to recognise medical problems and independently treat medical adverse events like tissue necrosis or allergy. This is paramount for your safety.”
What are lip enhancement procedures?
Lip enhancing procedures have become extremely popular these days. It is a body modification technique in which cosmetic fillers are inserted into the lip in order to increase its size.
Hollywood stars such as Kylie Jenner, Courtney Cox, and Anna Faris to name a few have had fillers placed in their lips. This has led to a huge demand for cosmetic fillers for the lips.
Dr. Tijion Esho also revealed that since Meghan Markle has come to the UK after her marriage to Prince Harry, people are now bringing her picture to the clinic and requesting him for a lip like Meghan Markle. Meghan, according to him, has become a huge beauty influencer, for the people of the UK.
He said:
“The perfect lip ratio used to be where the bottom lip is slightly larger from the top. But with new influencers like Meghan, the shift has moved across to a 50/ 50 ratio with a defined Cupid’s bow.”
He added:
“To replicate this ratio you first needs an understanding on the patient’s face, a good injection technique and the correct filler to give natural but also full results.”
