Broadway star Courtney Reed is now engaged. Courtney, who currently stars as Satine in the national tour of Moulin Rouge, has found the love of her life.

The actress, 38, shared a heartfelt video on her Instagram which captured different short videos from her every moment throughout the years, most of the clips include her with two years boyfriend, Nick Pflederer.

The video later ended with a romantic scene in which Pflederer got down on one knee in front of Reed at the top of the Seattle Space Needle. In the video, the Moulin Rouge actress can be seen breaking down in tears after his romantic proposal.

Similarly, she captioned the post,

“2023…you’ve got some big shoes to fill,”

How long have Courtney Reed and Nick Pflederer been together?

Courtney and Nick are college sweethearts. The two reportedly began dating in the year 2006 as shown by a montage of clips at the start of the video.

While speaking to PEOPLE, Reed disclosed although they had attended different colleges at the time, they were instantly attracted to each other. Reed went on to explain,

“We shared the same gym. I saw him come in one day and said, ‘He looks like Tom Welling… He will be my boyfriend.’ I was obsessed with Smallville at the time.”

The Broadway star enrolled at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University while Pflederer went to Columbia College. Reed revealed they dated for brief almost four months in college years and got separated.

The pair later reconciled after 14 years during the COVID-19 pandemic and they immediately rekindled their romance. She told PEOPLE,

“When COVID hit, I moved back home to Chicago, and we ended up meeting for a hang just as friends. We had no idea our little meet up would end up like this!”

Pflederer often appeared on Reed’s Instagram feed as she frequently shares pictures of their joint trips together.

The 38-years old Broadway star paid a sweet tribute to Pflederer on his birthday, sharing a photo and video carousel along with a heartwarming statement.

“You are my BB my BF and my BFF. Today is the best day and it’s not just because you were born on this day…it’s the best because it marks the day when you are no longer a year YOUNGER than ME!”
