At the age of nine, Bubba Wallace began racing in the Bandolero, local late model events, and Legends car racing series. Then, he won 35 of the Bandolero Series’ 48 races, in the year 2005.

While racing at the Franklin County Speedway in Virginia, he was the first youngest driver to win there.

He commenced his professional career, by being part of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, competition.

Being part of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program, he drove for Rev Racing. He was able to win at the track and won his very first race in the series at Greenville-Pickens Speedway.

In May 2012, he made his national series debut at Iowa Speedway and drove the no.20 Dollar General Toyota for JGR.

He ended up being 9th and in late September, he won his first career Nationwide Series pole at Dover International Speedway.

Returning to the Nationwide Series for Joe Gibbs Racing, he drove for Joe Gibbs Racing in the no.20 and finished 34th. In addition, he signed a deal to be part of the competition in the Xfinity Series for Roush Fenway in 2015.

Truck Series

Bubba Wallace competed as a full-timer in the Camping World Truck Series in Kyle Busch Motorsports’s 54th-number Toyota in February 2013.

Afterward, he won NASCAR’s national series, which made him the first African-American driver to win the competition on October 26, 2013. During his rookie season, he finished 8th in points.

Returning back to the Truck Series for the TruNorth Global 250 at Martinsville and Vankor 35, he drove the no.22 for AM racing in March 2019.

Furthermore, the no.11 after joining Spencer Davis Motorsports in the Pinty’s Dirt Truck Race on Bristol Motor Speedway’s dirt layout in March 2021. However, he finished 11th in the race.

2022 Career

Bubba Wallace competed in the 23XI racing along with his new teammate, Kurt Busch, and competed at the 2022 Daytona 500, where he finished as a runner-up by 0.036 seconds to Austin Cindric.

Winning his first career pole at Michigan, he scored his second win at Kansas with 67 laps on September 11, 2022.

After crashing Kyle Larson, in the NASCAR Cup series race, he was suspended for one race in October 2022.
