Carrie Prejean is an American model known for being a beauty pageant holder. Carrie is former Miss Carolina USA in 2008 and Miss USA 2009 first runner-up.

Carrie Prejean- Early Life

Carrie Prejean was born as Caroline Michelle “Carrie” Prejean Boller on 13th May 1987 in San Diego, California, US. Prejean is the daughter of Wilbert Prejean and Francine Coppola.

She has a sister Christina Prejean and a brother Bill Arnone. Similarly, her mother is an Italian American and her father is of French ethnicity. Carrie was raised in an evangelical Christian household in Vista, California.

Her parents separated in 1996 and it was a trauma that irrevocably shaped the rest of her life. Similarly, the divorce was a bitter one with accusations of poor behavior and homosexuality on both sides.

Also, her parent’s divorce caused a financial toll on the family.

Carrie Prejean attended the Vista High School in California, USA and graduated in 2005. After that, she studied at the San Diego Christian College located in El Cajon, California. She also attended Rock Church.

Carrie has modeled for brands like Target, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom. Also, she has appeared in Bliss magazine. She has modeled for E! Entertainment Television. 

Carrie has been the ambassador of San Diego Padres as a member of the Pad Squad.

Beauty pageant

Carrie Prejean competed in the Miss California USA 2008 and became first runner-up. After that, she returned next year and won Miss California USA 2009.

On 19th April 2009, she competed in Miss USA 2009 and was placed first runner-up.

Book

Through Regnery Publishing, she released her memoir titled Still Standing: The Untold Story of My Fight Against Gossip, Hate, and Political Attacks in November 2009.

Contract Termination

Carrie Prejean was dethroned and her contract terminated for violating the terms of her contract after a photograph of Prejean partially nude with her back turned to the camera appeared on a celebrity gossip blog.

After that in 2009, she sued Miss California USA officials on a variety of civil grounds.
