Who is Choi Si-won?

Choi Si-won is a well-known South Korean singer, actor, model, philanthropist, and composer. He is best known as a member of the South Korean boy band “Super Junior.”

Choi served as a special representative for UNICEF Korea from 2015 to 2019, before being appointed as a regional ambassador for the UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office in November 2019.

He was recently seen in Bloodhounds and Soolkkundoshiyeojadeul in 2023. He is currently working on his forthcoming project Death’s Game.

The agent recommended him to audition for the company’s Starlight Casting System. After he signed a contract with SM Entertainment. He later moved into dormitories with fellow trainees and was trained in areas of singing, acting, dancing as well as languages.

In 2003, he appeared in a music video for The Grace’s Dana while training as a solo performer. Choi had a brief appearance in the family drama Precious Family a year later. Choi made his debut as one of the twelve members of the boy band Super Junior 05 not long after his initial televised appearance. A month later, in 2005, their debut album Twins was published, and their first hit, “Twins (Knock Out),” was featured on the music show Popular Song.

Choi Si-won was cast as the Liang Prince in the Hong Kong epic drama A Battle of Wits in 2006. This is also his feature picture debut.
