Who is Big Scarr?

Big Scarr aka Alexander Woods was an American rapper best known for his song “SoIcyBoyz” (which included Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, and Tay Keith).

On April 16, 2021, he released Big Grim Reaper, his debut mixtape. The album reached number 25 on the Billboard 200.  He was signed to Gucci Mane’s label, 1017 Records.

Big Scarr was born on April 7, 2000, and raised in the Magnolia neighbourhood of South Memphis, Tennessee. He was one of nine children, and he lived with his grandmother until her death when he was 13.

At the age of 16, he was injured in a car accident that left scars on his face, which inspired his stage name, “Big Scarr”.

He has not mentioned his father, mother and siblings’ names and relatives. Besides this he had a relative named cousins Pooh Shiesty and  Quezz Ruthless.

Besides this, there is not much data revealed regarding his personal life, not only this there is no data found regarding his educational background.

Big Scarr: Professional life, Career

Diving into his professional career,

At first, Woods wasn’t very into rap music, but he began to become interested in it because of his friend and fellow musician Baby K. His debut single, “Make a Play,” was published in 2019 and gained 50,000 views on YouTube.

He remembers paying $200 to make the music video and $20 to record his debut song.  In 2020, he became an Atlantic Records artist and signed to American rapper Gucci Mane’s record company, 1017 Records.

He dropped “SoIcyBoyz” in 2021, a song that featured American rapper Foogiano and his cousin Pooh Shiesty.

“SoIcyBoyz 2” and “SoIcyBoyz 3,” the next two instalments in the series, were also released by him.

Producer Tay Keith appears in the second and third instalments, while Gucci Mane appears in the third.

Released on April 16, 2021, Big Scarr’s debut mixtape, Big Grim Reaper, sold 22,000 copies in its first week and reached number 25 on the Billboard 200. Woods received his first charting project as a result.

Rappers Gucci Mane, Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, Tay Keith, Enchanting, and Baby K all made appearances on the mixtape.

Rappers Offset, Gucci Mane, and Queez Ruthless made appearances on the deluxe edition of his mixtape Big Grim Reaper, which was released in February 2022 under the title Big Grim Reaper: The Return.

He was chosen to participate in the 2022 XXL Freshman class in June 2022, where he performed a freestyle in a cypher with rappers Big30, KenTheMan, and Nardo Wick.

Woods was revealed as a featured guest on American rapper Key Glock’s Glockoma Tour in December 2022.

Big Scarr mentioned rappers Kodak Black and Boosie Badazz as influences.[16] In an interview with Revolt TV, he also states that he likes American rapper Rod Wave.[8] Big Scarr said that rather than utilizing written lyrics, his songs were produced on the spot using a method called “punching in”. Rap Reviews’ Steve Juon likened Big Scarr’s sound to that of Freddie Gibbs.

What Happen to Big Scarr?

At the young age of 22 Woods passed away on December 22, 2022, his family stated that he had died as a result of an accidental overdose of prescription medication.
