American actor, Clint Eastwood, 94 lost his girlfriend of many years, Christina Sandera recently. She died on 18 July 2024. She was just 61 years of age at the time of her death. A post mortem was conducted on her body after her death. The Monterey California, County Department of Health has revealed the cause of her death.

What was the cause of death of Christina Sandera, girlfriend of Clint Eastwood?

The much-younger girlfriend of American actor, Clint Eastwood, 94, Christina Sandera died suddenly on 18 July 2024. She was just 61 years of age when she died. The death time of 1.46 pm is put in her death records. The official report puts her cause of death as ‘natural’. They suspected no foul play.

However, an autopsy was done on her body after her death. And the postmortem report from the Monterey California, County Department of Health is ready. The cause of death has been put as due to cardiac arrhythmia. This means that Christina had sudden irregular beats that led to poor cardiac function and circulation and eventually her death. They have put the underlying cause of death as atherosclerotic coronary artery disease.

The relationship timeline of Clint and Christina

Christina was a philanthropist. She met Clint in 2014 when she was working at Clint’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant situated in Carmel-by-the-Sea near Monterey. Clint has worked as the Mayor of Carmel-by-the-sea for two years from 1986 to 1988. The couple started dating the same year, ignoring the wide age gap between them.

The relationship remained strong even after 10 years of courtship. But they never married. Nor did they have any children together. After her death, Clint told The Hollywood Reporter:

“Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,”

Morgan Eastwood, Clint’s daughter, put up an Instagram post of herself with Christina and Clint and wrote on it:

“A devastating loss for our whole family,”
“Thank you Christina for being a good partner to my Dad. You will be missed.”
