In 2007, Cody Gakpo joined the youth academy of PSV, from where he began his initial football career. He plays for the reserve team, Jong PSV for the 2016 to 2017 season.

Making the first team debut for PSV, he played as a substitute player during the game against Feyenoord on 25 February 2018, which took PSV to win by 3-1.

On 3 December 2018, he made his first hat trick of his profession during the winning game against Go Ahead Eagles by 5-1.
