Cody Walker pays a heartwarming tribute to his late brother Paul Walker

Actor Paul Walker’s brother Cody Walker named his newborn son after his late brother before the star’s 10th death anniversary approaches.

The 34-year-old actor revealed on Friday that his baby boy, named Paul Barrett Walker, also known as ‘Bear‘ by his family, arrived on April 30 in Arizona.

Cody whose niece, Meadow, made an appearance in the Fast & Furious series’s latest flick, and his wife Felicia did not know their baby’s sex until he was born.

The couple who married in 2015 had many names in their minds until they decided to finally settle on Paul Barrett a day after he was born into the family.

Cody and Felicia are also parents to a daughter named Rumi, 5, and son Colt, 2.

Cody said,

‘This November will mark 10 years since we lost my brother, Paul, and I just felt now was the appropriate time,’

Paul passed away in 2013 at the age of 40 in a single crash with his friend Roger Rodas when his car collided in Santa Clarita, California.

Walker’s only child, daughter Meadow was just 15 at the time.

Meadow Walker had a cameo in Fast X

The TV personality who claimed that it would be his last child explained why the name carried such a special place in his heart.

He stated,

‘My brother, Caleb, and I are both done having children. My brother, Paul, was Paul William Walker IV and that name goes back four generations,’

He also opened up about how his family members often discussed his late brother.

‘Within the family, he went by ‘little Paul’ or ‘Paul 4,’ even though he quickly outgrew our father in height. It was important to me to have that name carry on,’

Meadow recently made a cameo in the recently released Fast X. She shared a post on Instagram expressing how thankful she was ‘‘to be able to honor my father’s legacy and share this with him forever.”

She later said in an interview with ET,

“I’ve always thought about honoring my dad [in a Fast film] just because it’s such a big part of his life and my life,”
“But I was waiting for the right moment. I wanted it to be something super small and simple that was almost like an Easter egg. Like, if you didn’t know who I was, you wouldn’t even notice it. I know that’s what my dad would want. My dad was always humble, very simple. I left my little mark and I can always share that with him.”
