The ‘Riverdale’ actors Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart split up after 2 years of their relationship as they showed maintaining distance from each other.

How the relationship began

26-year-old Sprouse and 22-year-old Reinhart played the onscreen couple, Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper, respectively. It was not exactly ‘love at first sight.’

They were first linked in July 2017 after spotting making out at Comic-Con. Later they confirmed their real-life romance in April 2018 when caught kissing in Paris.

It was the 2018 Met Gala when they both appeared on the Red Carpet as a couple.

Gradually Cole opened up about his relationship with Lili and mentioned about the romantic things he had done for her. He said,

“Lili was a tough egg to crack, she’s very shy at first, reserved, and I think it was about halfway into the first season she started letting people in truth,”

“I really like the road-trip date. I took my girlfriend on a date where we drove to this location deep into Canada, and I surprised her with a big hot-air balloon adventure, which was quite a bit of fun.”
“Also, I like traveling quite a bit. I like road-tripping. Those grand experiences always end up yielding the greatest memories—and the greatest romances.”

Although Jughead and Betty may be madly in love in Riverdale, in reality, the couple is staying away from each other. They have been together since 2017, but it seems like they might have quit one another in season 4 of Riverdale.

According to a source, Cole said his friend that he had broken up with Lili and ended up going home with co-stars KJ Apa and Camila Mendes.

The couple separated this summer and was noticed keeping distance from each other at the Comic-Con party in San Diego on Saturday, July 21 according to the sources. They were rarely seen together. However, Riverdale is now back in production, they’re back to filming together and are on good terms.
