Emma Slater officially files for divorce from her estranged husband Sasha Farber nearly a year after ending their relationship.

The DWTS pro said that the couple faced irreconcilable differences which led them to end their marriage.

But an insider revealed that despite moving in separate directions, the exes have no bad blood and that they are still close friends.

The Dancing with the Stars pros announced their split after four years of marriage in August 2022.

Multiple sources revealed at the time at the pair had been separated for some months. It was confirmed in their divorce filing which showed that the legal date of their separation was April 1, 2022.

Their separation was only revealed in August but their eagle-eyed fans started realizing that their romance was in trouble when they were no longer rocking their wedding rings in pictures.

Emma and Sasha, both 38, started their romance in 2011 but broke up three years later.

Emma said at the time,

‘I don’t think we’re supposed to finish together. I think there are other people that might make us both individually happy, but I’m always going to be his best friend,’
‘I feel like his best friend right now. It has just happened in the way we have gone from a beautiful three-year relationship, which I love and cherish, to best friends.’

Slater and Farber still are close friends despite ending their relationship

Slater also announced that they were still living together despite their split.

The pair got back together and Faber wasted no time in popping the question to his ladylove in 2016 during a live taping of DWTS.

Even after their split, the exes starred in the 2023 DWTS tour and recently posted a video of them dancing together. It shows that the former couple is still on great terms and they don’t want to mix their personal and professional life.

Though their divorce is no more a secret, neither of the dancers has spoken publicly about their divorce on their respective social media. Farber, however, posted a shirtless picture of himself on Wednesday hinting at his single life.

He captioned the photo, teasing,

“Living the dream!!!!!!!! Grateful and thankful for everyday ??❤️,”

Slater, on the other hand, is making the most of her singlehood. She recently went on a trip to Disneyland with her DWTS pals.

Sharing a series of slideshows on her Instagram, the dancing pro wrote,

“Spent the day in the most magical place on earth @waltdisneyworld @disneyparks #waltdisneyworld Thank you Mickey!!! ❤️❤️❤️,”
