Demi Lovato, who uses she/they pronouns, has taken the next step in her relationship with her boyfriend Jutes, whose real name is Jordan Lutes.

Musician Jutes popped the question to the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer on Saturday, December 16, in Los Angeles.

He proposed to Lovato with a massive custom-designed, pear-shaped diamond solitaire engagement ring from Material Good. The proposal comes just a year after dating.

Following their proposal, the couple celebrated the day with their closest friends and families at Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif., according to PEOPLE.

The 32-year-old songwriter announced their engagement news on Instagram with a pair of photos of them from their special day.

The first photo of the series shows the couple gazing at each other lovingly in front of a black curtain with rose petals and candles on the floor.

In the photo, the happy couple both wore all-black ensembles. The other photo shows a close-up photo of an engagement ring. Further, she also captioned the post, writing,

“I’m still speechless last night was the best night of my life and I can’t believe I get to marry the love of my life @jutesmusic.”
“My love, I’m beyond excited to marry you.. every day I’ve spent with you has been a dream come true and I can’t wait to love and cherish you forever. Here’s to the rest of our lives. I love you baby.”

Jutes shared the same pictures on his Instagram handle and expressed his happiness while writing,

The couple got engaged over a year after they first started dating. Last year, the two went Instagram official with their relationship on Lovato’s 30th birthday.

The announcement came just a month after the pair worked together on Demi’s eighth studio album, Holy Fvck. The two since never been shy to flaunt their romance in public. They often appeared in each other Instagram feeds.

Lately, Jutes paid a romantic birthday tribute to Lovato on her 31st birthday via Instagram.

On August 20th, he shared a carousel of pictures and videos of them throughout the year, packed with PDAs, and captioned it,
