– In 2013, Derek signed with the recording label, fly America owned by Mark Battles.

– On the 27th of December 2013, he launched his debut album, LA Confidential under the same recording label. The album consists of a total of 13 tracks featuring rappers like Dizzy Wright, Mark Battles, Jarren Benton, and Lola Monroe.

– After that, he was on a musical tour with Mark Battles and Machine Gun Kelly. He started to release his songs on online music-sharing platforms. He was also featured in the single tracks Can’t Stand Us and Black Einstein. 

– On the 17th of November 2015, he released his second album, The Fortunate Few along with Sk8. In the same year, he launched the album, Hollywood Blvd which became one of the most downloaded albums with the powerful tracks Lifestyle, That’s Love, and Down Chick. 

– In 2017, Derek Luh released his debut extended play, Disposable Hero, and the singles, Grow Up. Prior to that, in 2016, he released the singles Now You Know and Bad Boy.
