Elizabeth Chambers wants to leave the past behind.

She revealed that she and her estranged husband Armie Hammer are in a really great place despite their divorce and his controversial behavior.

Chambers filed for divorce from the actor in July 2020 after being married for 10 years. The couple shares two children, Ford, 5, and Harper, 7.

The Bird Bakery founder said:

”Our divorce is not finalized. But we are in a really great place. We talk all the time,”

“We’re committed fully and wholly to our children, and to being together as much as possible in a non-romantic way for our kids.
“Kids need their mom; kids need their dad. So there’s nothing we won’t do.”

The 40-year-old confessed that after her marriage with Hammer ended, there have been co-parenting challenges. Their marriage started tumbling when females accused the actor of sexual abuse and even rape.

Elizabeth is trying to make peace with her past

Chambers revealed that Hammer is in the recovery process by the way of rehab.

The mother of two said:

”Armie has been focused on his healing. There’s the oxygen mask theory: You can’t really take care of someone until you are taken care of,”
“There’s a reason on the plane they say, ‘Secure your own mask before helping others.’ He has been very busy securing his own mask.

She added:

“My mask has been secured, [the kids’] masks are on, so right now it’s really been a lot about focusing on them, protecting them.”

Chambers now has a new man in her life. Just a few days back, she posted an Instagram post with a mystery man, kissing, and cuddling.

Despite ending her decade-long marriage, Elizabeth looks back fondly on their time together.

She reflected:

“We grew up together and we have so many memories. We traveled the world and that is so beautiful,”

“I do feel like I look back at it as a different phase in my life, but I don’t necessarily think we’re starting over. I think we’re just continuing on our path, with a shifted perspective.”

The mom-of-two also revealed that she mustered courage and watched Discovery+’s tell-all-docu-series House of Hammer with her support system.

Armie, who has denied all the allegations, has not made a public comment on the documentary which contains women giving details about their disturbing experiences.
