Bachelorette alum Emily Maynard Johnson announced that she and her husband Tyler Johnson welcomed a baby daughter on 17th October 2020. She shared the news of their daughter’s birth on Instagram.
She captioned it,

Emily Maynard Johnson is happily married to Tyler Johnson since 7th June 2014. Their wedding ceremony was a surprise for the guests as the 200 guests thought that they were attending an engagement party at Tyler’s parents’ farm. Instead of engagement, they walked down the aisle.

Emily Maynard Johnson was in love with former NASCAR Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series driver Ricky Hendrick. They got engaged in the year 2004 six months before his death in a tragic plane crash.
The plane was on its way to the Martinsville Speedway for the Subway 500 and crashed on Bull Mountain due to pilot error in a heavy fog.
The plane crash took the life of Ricky’s uncle John Hendrick and his twin daughter Kimberly and Jennifer Hendrick. It was a devastating blow to one of the most respected families in NASCAR.
Ricky’s father said,
“Emily came over to the house the night after the memorial service and told us [Hendrick and his wife, Linda] she was pregnant. At the lowest time of our life, it was like a miracle that happened for us because we get a chance to have a piece of Ricky left.”
Emily announced that she was pregnant with Ricky’s child a week after his death. She gave birth to a daughter Josephine Riddick “Ricki” Hendrick on 29th June 2005.
After the birth of baby Ricki, Emily used her connections to NASCAR to further her career in broadcast journalism as a host of the Speed Channel’s podcast Emily On The Scene in 2006. She worked as an event coordinator for Ricky Hendrick Centers or Intensive Care named after Ricky.
