English actress cum singer, Rita Simons, 47 had some exciting news to share with her fans on her social media. She revealed that her boyfriend proposed to her and she accepted his marriage proposal.

The EastEnders actress posted several loved-up photos of herself with her beau, Ben Harlow. In the pics, she was showing off her new diamond engagement ring. She captioned the post:

Rita has been in a relationship with Ben since 2020. The two had met during the production of the musical called Legally Blonde. This was in 2017. At that time, they were just friends.

A couple of years later, Ben took Rita out for a date. They gelled well and began a relationship. Rita is all praise for Ben and has referred to him as ‘the loveliest man on the planet’. She had stated that she is extremely happy in this relationship and has realized what a mess her life was before it.

Who is Ben Harlow?

Ben Harlow is also from the entertainment industry. He is a theater actor and has participated in several musical dramas on stage. He acts on West End theatre in London, England, the UK.

Ben was born on 11th June 1980 in the UK. But the exact place of birth is unclear. His mother is Sue Gavin and Ben is very close to her. Sue is the trustee of a local museum with keen interest in craftwork and arts. Ben has an elder sister.

“I got divorced and had my breakdowns, but now I’m in the most wonderful place outside of work that I have been in years! It was a deep sadness, I’d say a depression. I couldn’t see the wood for the trees. It was all kind of lumped into one big mess and I was very ill a lot of the time.”

Rita walks a lot and exercises. She feels that this too helped her to return to normal.
