Fetty Wap Arrested! Rapper, 31, gets six years behind bars in NY drug case

Fetty Wap pleaded guilty to Drug Trafficking across the country
Fetty Wap was convicted in federal court in Central Islip, New York for conspiracy to drug dealing. On Wednesday, May 24, an arrest warrant was issued against him to six years in prison and five years on probation.
However, his attorneys went on to argue that his sentence time should be reduced as he got involved in the drug trade during the pandemic as a way to support his family.
Similarly, they claimed that the rapper has “become more self-aware in the past several months” and assured that he will behave differently after his release.
The 31-year-old rapper, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, was initially arrested in October 2021 on charges of conspiring to possess and distribute more than 220 pounds of heroin, fentanyl, and crack cocaine between June 2019 and June 2020.
He allegedly used the US Postal Service and hidden car compartments to get drugs and stored them on Long Island and New Jersey from where he distributed them to the east coast.
During that event, police also arrested five others, with two of them pleading guilty and awaiting sentencing. Maxwell was initially out on bail but got arrested again in August 2022 after revoking his bail.
He faced additional accusations of threatening to kill someone over FaceTime while holding a firearm.
Fetty Wap apologized for his mistake after realizing
The “Trap Queen” rapper apologized in the courtroom after declaring his sentence, stating,
“I hurt my community, people who look up to me, my family and myself. I am truly sorry for any pain I caused.”
Maxwell has repeatedly faced legal troubles. He got arrested for a DUI in 2017 after drag racing on a New York City highway. In 2019, authorities detained him in Las Vegas for allegedly assaulting three hotel employees.
