How did Matthew Perry die?
Matthew Perry, the famous face of Friends, has died, confirms Page Six.
The actor was found dead at his residence in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood in Los Angeles on Saturday which could be the result of an apparent drowning.

Earlier the morning, the star reportedly returned home after a two-hour pickleball game when he asked his assistant to run him an errand.
Just a couple of hours later, his assistant found him in his jacuzzi, unresponsive, and immediately called 911.
Drugs were not located at the death scene so there could not have been a foul play in his demise.
The LAPD released a statement, confirming that it “responded to the 1800 block of Blue Sail Rd for a death investigation on a male [at] 4:10 p.m. this afternoon.”
LA Fire Department reps, Brian Humphrey reported that first responders got the 911 call at 4:07 p.m. for a “water rescue or water emergency.”
However, he couldn’t surely tell whether the actor’s body was found in a tub, pool, or hot tub.
Earlier this week, Perry shared an odd Instagram post showing him relaxing in an infinity pool with his headphones on. He captioned the post,
“Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman,”
Fans expressed their grief at the devastating news. One fan tweeted,
”I am very heartbroken to hear this sad news of one of the funniest man actors who bought great laughter into my home. I pray for all his loved ones he left behind. I read part of his book, didn’t finish yet but I know he struggled a great deal with addiction and overcame that struggle through determination.”
Another wrote,
”Deepest heart-sent condolences to family, loved ones, friends, colleagues and fans. Rest ever peacefully, Mr.Perry. Thank you for the laughter and the wonderful memories.”
Matthew Perry’s decades-long struggle with fame and addiction
Matthew’s rise to fame happened with the popular ’90s sitcom Friends from 1994 to 2004, where he played Chandler Bing.
Just three years after debuting on the show, Perry faced a jet ski accident that became the cause of his addiction issues as he started getting more dependent on painkillers.
Just last year, the Fools Rush In star released his bombshell memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Bing Terrible Thing where he openly discussed his years-long addiction to alcohol and drugs.
In the book which was released in November 2022, Perry wrote,
”Not only do I have the disease, but I also have it bad,”
“I have it as bad as you can have it, in fact. It’s back-to-the-wall time all the time. It’s going to kill me …
He added,
“Robert Downey Jr., talking about his own addiction, once said, ‘It’s like I have a gun in my mouth with my finger on the trigger, and I like the taste of the metal.’ I got it; I understand that. Even on good days, when I’m sober and I’m looking forward, it’s still with me all the time. There’s still a gun. Fortunately, I guess, there’s not enough opiates in the world to make me high anymore.”
Perry who reportedly spent $9 million to get sober also said in the book that he nearly died a few years ago when he used to consume 55 Vicodin tablets and a quart of vodka per day.
