Later, George started packaging programs which include, The Steve Allen Show, That Girl featuring Marlo Thoma, and Gomer Pyle along with Jim Nabors.

In order to further George Shapiro’s career, Shapiro left William Morris and began working as a producer and personal manager along with her partner and friend Howard West.

They together founded Shapiro West Productions, and the executive produced Peabody, Emmy, and Golden Globe award-winning series, Seinfeld.

Moreover, George Shapiro also worked as executive producer with his partner for West on the 1999 Universal biopic Man on the Moon featuring Jim Carrey as Andy Kaufman and Danny DeVito as Shapiro.
