Gigi Hadid is open about co-parenting daughter Khai with ex Zyan Malik

How is Gigi Hadid balancing her career along with a co-parenting journey with ex Zayn Malik?
Gigi Hadid, 28, recently gave a rare insight into co-parenting her daughter, Khai with her ex-husband Zayn Malik.
Hadid spoke in an interview with NET-A-PORTER about managing her work while raising her 3-year-old daughter as she and Zayan shared 50/50 custody of Khai.
The model stated that as a result of co-parenting their child, she has had plenty of time to concentrate on her work. Meanwhile, when Khai is with her father, Hadid is able to put in more effort and concentrate on her job.
She shared,
“I think when you are a parent, you have to be intentional because, now, I literally have half the time, I work when my daughter is with her dad, and that’s the time I have.”
She also recognized that she makes an effort to make the most of her time and complete projects that will make her feel the most satisfied.

“And the jobs I choose to fill tha t time with have to be ones that are fulfilling to me, I will literally fit in as many jobs as I can on those days. I’m sometimes a crazy person, but if it means a lot to me, then I do it.”
The sports-illustrated model continued by stating that her daughter has been carrying on her legacy by serving as a “fit model” for her company, Guest in Residence.
“Khai and her best friend are our fit models. They come into the office, Khai tries on one dress and then she’s like, ‘So you want to go to the donut store?”
Similarly, Gigi described how she had just returned from a six-hour drive to Los Angeles while crocheting a unicorn for her child and how she has been reviving old hobbies to connect with her kid.
Unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned.
“It’s just a blob with a horn and eyes, It’s hilarious.”

This isn’t the first time Gigi Hadid has discussed co-parenting
In a March interview with The Sunday Times, Gigi shared that Khai spending time with both of her parents makes her very happy.
She also gave advice to other separated parents regarding the co-parenting journey, sharing,
“Just keeping the importance of the child’s happiness at the forefront, You have a long life alongside this person,”
In 2021, Hadid and Zayn Malik called it quits on their marriage after a five-year-long companionship. Even though their divorce may have been tumultuous, they are now getting along well.
They continue to raise their daughter together. The former couple often spoke about the great changes that their daughter Khai brought into their lives.
In July, the former One Direction singer made an appearance on one of the episodes of the Call Her Daddy podcast where he mentioned having a “really good” bond with Gigi.
He said at the time,
“I’m super full on, hands-on with my child every chance I can be, If I could get 60percent, I would have it.”
