The Little Mermaid singer, 23, has announced that she and her boyfriend DDG had a child together, following months of speculation that they had secretly welcomed a child.

Bailey posted a cute picture of the couple cradling the baby’s tiny hand on Saturday, January 6. The infant was wearing a gold bracelet with the word “Halo” carved on it.

Halo was born in the year 2023, although the exact date has yet to be disclosed. Similarly, they have not revealed the baby’s face.

Halle wrote in the caption section,

“Even though we’re few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son, Welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you.”

DDG, for his part, shared the same photo of the newborn on his Instagram account with the message,

“my biggest blessing by far son son.. never been so in love baby halo,”

They have never, however, made the pregnancy public. The couple choose to keep their pregnancy a secret until so far, despite fan speculation due to the actress’s noticeable baby bump.

In early 2022, Halle and DDG sparked dating rumors after the pair was spotted together at Usher’s Las Vegas concert. Shortly after, the two went Instagram official with their relationship.

The Lion King actress also shared a TikTok video of the two of them doing vocal warm-ups with the comment,

“Singing lessons with @DDG,”

In June 2022, the couple made their red carpet debut at the BET Awards. Similarly, Bailey disclosed in an Essence interview from November 2022 that she was a fan of the rapper.

She shared,

“I’ve been a fan of his for years. I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them.”

In February 2023, DDG was accused of cheating on Halle with his ex-girlfriend Rubi Rose. Rose alleged the rapper gifted Halle one of her old shirts.

However, Halle stood by her partner at the time and responded to the accusation with a tweet.

Weeks after the accusation, they fueled breakup speculation after eagled-eye fans noticed the rapper unfollowed the actress.

Nonetheless, the couple put an end to the breakup rumors when they appeared at the Vanity Fair Oscar celebration in Los Angeles.

The couple’s romance has been going strong ever since.
