On Sunday, October 13, Wife of Hamilton star Kelly Cervantes took to her social media to share the heartbreaking news of her daughter’s death.

Miguel Cervantes and Kelly Cervantes’s daughter, Adelaide Grace were just only a few days from celebrating her fourth birthday.

According to Miguel’s wife, Kelly, she was diagnosed with a severe form of epilepsy which is also the cause of her death. Adelaide suffered her first seizure at the age of 7 months and was diagnosed with infantile spasms two months later.

Mother, Kelly Cervantes took to her Instagram to share the news. She uploaded a black and white photo of her late daughter’s room.

She wrote,

“The machines are off. Her bed is empty. The quiet is deafening, Miss Adelaide Grace left us early Saturday morning. She went peacefully in my arms and surrounded by love. Finally, she is free from pain, reactions and seizures but leaves our hearts shattered. We love you so much Adelaideybug and forever after.”

Kelly and Miguel confirmed the death of their baby girl with an official statement released to ET on Sunday, in which they shared,

“The Cervantes family is heartbroken to announce that their baby girl Adelaide Grace passed away early Saturday morning. She was held in the loving arms of her family as she peacefully achieves the ‘calm’ for which they’ve been searching for so long. They would like to extend their deepest, heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out with words of support and prayer and will continue to feel all the love as they go through this difficult time,”

Miguel Cervantes assures fans of their well-being

It is a hard time for the Cervantes family and the heartbreaking news has made fans worried about Miguel and his wife Kelly.

On Saturday, Miguel took the time to reach out to assure his friends, family, and fans that his family is holding up and that all the support they’ve been receiving is appreciated in the wake of his daughter’s death.

“Dear everyone, Just wanted you to know that @KellyGC411, Jackson and I are doing ok,” Miguel wrote, referring to his wife, Kelly Cervantes, and their young son. “We are comforted knowing there are so many people sending positive vibes. We are seeing all of it. [Love] and thanks,” he concluded, “We will be celebrating her life and legacy soon.”

The update comes two days after Adelaide passed away in hospice care after battling long with epilepsy and neurodegenerative.

Miguel confirmed that he has decided to take a brief break from his leading role in the Chicago production of Hamilton, but plans to return to the stage shortly. Our heartfelt condolences to the Cervantes family for their loss.
