SLIPKNOT has shared the sad news on its social media platforms. Their percussionist Shawn Crahan has lost his youngest daughter Gabrielle. She has passed away and was just 22 years old.

The percussionist of the SLIPKNOT band, Shawn Crahan has a tragic phase in his life.
His youngest daughter Gabrielle died at the young age of 22. The band and Shawn announced on their social media page. The statement read:
“It is with a broken heart, and from a place of the deepest pain, that I have to inform all of you that my youngest daughter, Gabrielle, passed away yesterday – Saturday May 18th, 2019. She was 22 years old. Funeral arrangements will be forthcoming. My family and I ask that our privacy be respected moving forward. Thank you.

The date of her death has been stated as 18 May 2019. There is no further information about the cause of death.
Gabrielle had accompanied her father Shawn, 49, and mother Chantele to the Grammy Award function in the year 2015.
About Gabrielle and her family
Gabrielle was 22 and her father was Grammy – award-winning musician. Her mother was Chantele. She also had one sister Alexandria and two brothers, Gage and Simon.
The news deeply moved Simon like in the case of his other family members and he took to Instagram to express his sadness at the sudden tragic turn of events in his life.
He wrote:
‘Today is the hardest day ever, I’m confused, I’m angry, I’m sad and I’m just sad just really sad. Gabri I miss you so much I miss you like no other we were best friends we had a good bond and now your not here anymore. I love you Gabri and I know you’ll know that forever.’

Gabrielle’s sister Alexandria uploaded a childhood picture of herself with her younger sister on her Instagram and captioned it:
’22 is too young to die.
‘I am in shock and have no idea how to process the wave of emotions I am experiencing, The comforts I have in these moments are my family, friends, and cats. Please put good energy out for my parents and my brothers.’
Alexandria also admitted that the premature passing away of Gabrielle has left a big void in their lives and it can never be filled. She said that their lives will never be the same. She also requested people to refrain from making rumors about Gabrielle’s cause of death.
Alexandria uploaded a screenshot of a Reddit thread wherein Reddit users were discussing Gabrielle’s cause of death.

Condolences for the departed soul
Corey Taylor is the lead singer of the band and she tweeted:
‘My heart has broken for my brother. Please keep the Crahan family in your thoughts and love. She will be missed.’
Shawn is one of the founding members of the heavy metal band SLIPKNOT. He had founded it in 1993. They had several hit numbers and these included 2014’s The Devil In I, 2009’s Snuff, and 2004’s Duality. The band performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! show.
