Ian Ziering had a tough start to the new year!

The actor was involved in a physical fight with a group of bikers in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve.

A video obtained by TMZ showed the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star being surrounded by multiple people who were on mini-bikes on Hollywood Blvd.

In the video, the actor then gets out of his car and gets into what seems to be a physical fight with one of the men.

Soon after that, other bikers circled back surrounded the star, and attacked him. Ziering then tried to escape them as he tried to cross to the other side of the road.

The group then chased him, grabbed him by the shirt, pushed him into another vehicle, and struck him again.

The LAPD confirmed that officers responded to the area around 3 p.m. on Sunday after “reports of a fight that broke out after the group of bikers were driving recklessly.”

The actor spoke about the incident on his social media handle, writing,

“Yesterday, I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of individuals on mini bikes. While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders leading to an unsettling confrontation,”

The Endless Love star added,

“In an attempt to assess any damage I exited my car. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself,”
“I am relieved to report that my daughter and I are both completely unscathed, but the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace. This situation highlights a larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior.”

TMZ also revealed that an official report listed the actor as a victim. Furthermore, it also noted that the police had not made any arrests.

Another clip shared by the outlet showed Ian seemingly comforting his 12-year-old daughter Mia who was upset by the terrible incident involving her dad and the bikers.

TMZ reported that “Ian and Mia seem physically fine.”

In March 2023, the actor spoke about his career during a 90210 panel, saying,

“Shortly after [Beverly Hills, 90210] went off the air, Missy Halperin, who we all know [in casting], said, ‘Ian, would you ever consider hosting a reality show?’ And I’m like, ‘No. I’m an actor.’ That reality show was American Idol,”

He added,

“Not that it was an offer,”
“But would I consider my name being thrown in a hat.”
