Actress Jameela Jamil speaks disrespect for the late Karl Lagerfeld!

English actress Jameela Jamil has been in a war of words with the Kardashians for some time now. But she clarifies that she did not mean to hurt anyone. She only wanted the Kardashians to check their moral compasses.

The actress had called upon Keeping up with the Kardashians stars to think about what they are advertising. She was not happy with Kim for using their social media to campaign for such unproven and harmful products as appetite suppressants and weight loss products.

The Kardashians did not take it well.

They in turn retaliated by calling Jameela a person who lives in a negative energy space. They also named her a silly person. But Jameela revealed that she neither wanted nor expected such a negative reaction from them. She only wanted them to check on their moral compasses before they advertise a product.

Jameela spoke to US Weekly and talked about the feud with the Kardashians. She said:

“Obviously, how things have gone between us [in the past year] was not expected,”

She feels that Kardashians should concentrate on some real accomplishments in life rather than just getting fame for how they look and how much they weigh. Jameela said:

“A year ago, I saw a picture of all of the Kardashians… with numbers of their weight written across them rather than how much money [they make], how [much they are] worth and [how they] have built up this empire,”

Additionally, Jameela explained:

“And those are the only kind of numbers we ever see on men — we see how much money they are worth, or what kind of jobs [they have], or how many awards they’ve won.”

Jameela labels the media outlets as a misogynist and feels that they only focus on a women’s weight and looks rather than on her accomplishments and talent. She is sick and tired of it. Furthermore, she wants the media people to also talk about financial independence and the activism of women.

Jameela refuses to back down

Jameela said that she has talked nothing bad about the Kardashians and acknowledges the good things that they have done. She refuses to back out in this feud. She had told PEOPLE magazine:

“I’m not nervous to call anyone out. I think people are just scared and greedy. And I think girls, in particular, are scared because we’re always told to not be unlikable, and not to be difficult, and to be perfect.”
“I would like to, hopefully, be a force of change in that [and] show people that sometimes you have to be scary, and you have to be intimidating, and you have to be bold, and you have to be unlikable in order to protect yourself and to protect other people. It’s like a moral responsibility.”

Jameela adds:

“More people should be doing this. I’m doing the bare minimum, and everyone else should be doing the same.”

Jameela has started the I Weigh Instagram account and campaign. It aims to combat body-shaming rampant on social media. Talking about it, Jameela told:

“We don’t know what men weigh, we don’t care. We only care about what women weight. But We don’t care about anything else about them, we just care how little space they are taking up in this world, and I am fed up about it.
“So I posted about what I weigh, which is my financial independence, that I’m self-made, the fact that I’m in a wonderful relationship, the cancer I’ve overcome, the struggles I’ve overcome, the things I’ve been through, the things I’m still going through. I weigh the sum of all my parts.”
