Man Who Shot Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker James Howard Jackson goes to prison
James Howard Jackson, 20, shot Lady Gaga’s dogwalker Ryan Fischer on Feb. 24, 2021, while trying to steal her French bulldogs. The man now receives 21 years in jail for shooting Fischer on December 5, 2022. His attorney details are not available.
Jackson, along with two other suspects, allegedly fled in a car with two of Lady Gaga’s dogs, named Koji and Gustav back then. However, he confirmed he had no intention to kill Ryan Fischer during the incident.
Fischer referred to the shot as the “earth-shattering event” which changed their lives forever. Fischer who suffered “lung collapse after lung collapse” and also severe loss of career, and friendships, said,
“You shot me and left me to die, and both of our lives have changed forever.”
Meanwhile, charges like conspiracy to commit robbery, and second-degree robbery. Also, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and a felon carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle were filed against him.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office found him guilty on the plea deal to inflicting great bodily injury and to a prior strike, The Associated Press reported.
“The plea agreement holds Mr. Jackson accountable for perpetrating a coldhearted violent act and provides justice for our victim.”
Ryan Fischer Forgive the Shooter who stole Lady Gag’s dog
Ryan Fischer said he endured physical therapy but forgave Jackson,
“I do forgive you. With the attack, you completely altered my life. I know I can’t completely move on from the night you shot me until I said those words to you.”
The dogwalker of Lady Gaga acknowledged Jackson’s decision to not hurt the pups, He thanked god that they are alive citing he could not have lived if anything happened to them.
“They were returned and returned to their mom. I don’t think I could have lived with myself if they died.”
Recalling the incident that happened, Fischer had candidly confessed in an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings in September 2022,
“I think they just saw a guy with three French bulldogs. The one thing I’ve noticed in L.A. while walking the dogs is people would say out of the cars,
‘How much are those dogs worth?’ Like, ‘How much are they? Can I buy them?’ And that part was always surprising — the viewing of the dog as a commodity.”
