Jamie Lynn Spears has come up with a new memoir Things I Should Have Said. In the new memoir, she revealed that her parents pressurized her to get an abortion at the age of 16.

When she revealed to her parents Jamie and Lynne that she was pregnant in 2007, they came to her room to convince her to abort the child. They suggested to her that it was not a good time to have a baby.

She claimed,

“‘It will kill your career. You are just too young. You don’t know what you’re doing. There are pills you can take. We can help you take care of this problem … I know a doctor’. Everyone around me just wanted to make this ‘issue’ disappear…everyone was certain that termination would be the best course of action.”

Her father Jamie suggested she give up the child for adoption. Jamie was told not to disclose her pregnancy news to her sister Britney. Likewise, she said that she needed Britney more than ever but she was not able to help her in the most vulnerable time of her life.
