Jana Kramer is expecting her third child, the first with her fiance Allan Russell

Jana Kramer is expanding her family with her fiance Allan Russell. The 39-year-old country singer exclusively confirmed to PEOPLE that she and her fiance are expecting their first child together.

She told the outlet,

“I didn’t think it would ever happen again, if I’m being honest. I’ve been through a lot, so this has just been a really beautiful thing. “I’m letting it all sink in. It’s everything I’ve wanted and more. Allan was so sweet. He wrote me this little sticky note saying, ‘You deserve the happy ending.”

Well, the pregnancy news comes just two weeks after the pair got engaged.

The Whine Down podcast host is already a mom to two children a daughter Jolie, 7, and a son Jace, 4, whom she shared with her ex-husband Mike Caussin.

She disclosed that Jolie would say, “You’re getting married and having a baby!” each time she and Allan kissed. The pregnant mama continued by mentioning that Jolie has consistently expressed a desire for a baby brother and a baby sister.

Russell, on the other hand, is also a dad to a 16-year-old son from his previous relationship.

She continued,

“I’ve had miscarriages, so I didn’t even know if it was possible. I’m like, yes, it’d be beautiful for us to create something because I love this man. It would be the silver lining with everything that happened, but I’d always get kind of down about it because I didn’t know if I was capable of carrying a pregnancy again,”
“I was like, well, I’m going to be 40 in December, so I was like, we have one month to try. Literally one month.”

How many miscarriages has Jana Kramer had?

Jana has always been open about her miscarriages. She has had a total of three miscarriages and two chemical pregnancies throughout her life so far.

When she experienced her third miscarriage in February 2018, she initially felt that it was the end of her fertility journey.

She described how “devastated” she felt following her third miscarriage in an emotional Instagram post on the first anniversary of her third loss. She wrote,

“A year ago today, I got the news that I had yet again another miscarriage. It was after an IVF cycle. The embryo was a boy and it was the last embryo we had. I was devastated. I felt like I failed as a [woman], and as a wife. IVF wasn’t an option again because it’s too expensive so I felt defeated. I felt blessed that we at least had our Jolie Rae but family just didn’t feel complete yet.”

How is Jana Kramer doing?

Kramer is presently in her first trimester. She provided an update on her pregnancy journey and discussed her health during her interview with the outlet.

“I was sick with Jolie and I had hyperemesis gravidarum with Jace. I’ve been sick with this one but not as sick as the last two. In the beginning of this pregnancy, I was bleeding a lot. It was scary, and I went to the doctor like, ‘I’ve miscarried.'”

“I actually had a large hemorrhage, so they’d have to monitor me, which has been kind of great because I’ve gotten to see the baby so much. Everything’s good now, thank goodness.”

Nevertheless, Kramer is blissfully trying to embrace the pregnancy while leaning into the joy she’s discovered with Russell.
