Jessica Batten and her husband Benjamin McGrath have expanded their family.

The new mama, 38, took to Instagram to announce the happy news on Saturday, June 17, that she gave birth to her birth first child with her husband Benjamin McGrath.

The couple is blessed with a baby boy named Dax. Jessica shared a series of pictures from the hospital featuring her newborn while captioning the post,

“Meet Dax, June 9, 2023”

Benjamin is already a father to two kids son Ethan, 6, and daughter Poppy, 7, from a previous relationship.

The first photo of the series features Jessica and her baby boy resting in the hospital bed facing each other. Similarly, the following photos show Benjamin and his children cradling the new baby.

The baby arrived almost five months after the pair announced the pregnancy news. In January, the new parents shared that the couple are expecting their first child together.

In 2020, the two began dating, and shortly after McGrath got down on one knee at Akash Winery in Temecula, California in September of the following year.

Batten, who is best known for her relationship with Mark Cuevas on Season 1 of the hit Netflix show, gushed about the proposal with PEOPLE in 2021. She said,

“I was totally overwhelmed. I don’t think it has quite sunk in, but I’m definitely floating somewhere on cloud nine. It’s been really, really exciting!”

Similarly, Batten got candid about becoming a stepmother to McGrath’s children, expressing,

“It’s been awesome and three for the price of one for me. I didn’t know this would be in my future, but I couldn’t imagine my life without them. They’re so super special to me.”

She continued,

“It’s a lot of sacrifice, but it’s so rewarding. After being by myself for so long, or just me and [my dog] Payton, now having them, it’s just a whole different perspective.”

They kept secret about their wedding until August 2022 when Batten shared the news via Instagram.

“The genuine happiness that comes through here I have truly never seen of myself. I am so thankful and overjoyed to call @doctor.ben_ my husband and I’m in love with this new chapter of life.”
