Jessica Pettway is no longer alive among us! Social media sensation and YouTube star took her last breath on March 11 after a battle with stage three cervical cancer.

She died at the age of 36. Her death was confirmed by her sister Reyni Brown on Instagram. Reyni shared a heartbreaking statement alongside a photo of herself and Jessica.

She wrote,

“It’s my birthday today, and the only thing I could ever wish for is for God to bring you back on this earth, I lost my beautiful big sister 2 days ago and my heart has never felt pain like this.”

Reyni described Jessica as “the most amazing, strong, confident” woman she had ever met and filled her life “with so much wisdom, prayed for me, and helped me become a better mother.”

She concluded,

“Life will never be the same without her crazy laugh, pranks, or jokes. Loosing [sic] a sibling field like a connection between is was destroyed. I love you with all my heart.”

Jessica is survived by her husband and two daughters Kailee, 10, and Zoi Lee, 3.

How long had Jessica Pettway been struggling with a disease?

The doctors incorrectly treated Jessica for fibroids, but they later discovered she had cancer in February 2023.

In July of the same year, Jessica shared her diagnosis of stage 3 cervical cancer. She said in an Instagram post at the time,

“Being told I have cancer didn’t devastate me, It was the reaction of those close to me. I knew that God is my healer and that no weapon formed against me, not even cancer, would prosper. I knew that I am more than a conqueror and that I will get through this.”

Jessica was a well-renowned YouTuber who is popular for her beauty content. She posted frequent hair styling and makeup tutorials on her YouTube channel.

In November 2013, she first posted a video on her YouTube channel, which garnered more than 220,000 subscribers as of now.

One of her most popular videos on YouTube is “Knotless Crochet Braids Installation || Jessica Pettway,” which has earned more than 700,000 total views.
