John didn’t accept the position as he decided to forgo any other employment. He made around $217,610 a year after he was appointed as a Lieutenant Governor.

He announced that he would run for a Democratic nomination in 2017 in Pennsylvania.

In early 2021, john announced that he was starting and launching an exploratory committee for 2the 022 elections of the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania. He entered the race officially on 8th February 2021.
