He was later promoted to the weekly anchor desk, which was his first permanent anchor position. He was successfully recognized by the WFLA-TV, which is the NBC affiliate in Tampa Florida where he worked for three years. He was the lead reporter for the 11 pm news there. It was the highest-rated local news show in the state. He returned to his hometown when he got a call from WNBC-TV. He was a reporter for the number-one-rated show there ‘Today In New York’. He also covered the death of ‘Princess Diana while he was there. He was chosen to anchor and host ‘WB11 Morning News’ which debuted in June 2000. He was also a sports anchor for the broadcast of the daily business news segment It’s Your Money. He worked as an anchor and correspondent for ABC’s headquarters in New York City. He returned to ‘WPIX’ to anchor weeknights at 5 and 10 p.m. in 2014.

Muller has received an Emmy Award in the category of ‘Best Morning News Show’. He won the ‘Best Individual Achievement Award’ for his work on WBBH-TV. He also won the ‘Best spot News Reporting’ award in Tampa for WFLA-TV.
