Jon Gosselin calls his former wife Kate a thief for stealing their kids’ money

Jon Gosselin is not happy with his former wife Kate and claims that she stole $100,000 from their kids’ accounts. The Kate Plus 8 star said otherwise and claimed that she borrowed the funds.

In legal documents, Kate said that she made two separate withdrawals of $50,000 from her two kids’ trusts for her survival.

In the 2019 filing, Kate said that she used her two children Hannah‘s and Collin‘s accounts to meet her and her children’s expenses. But that very year, she ended up purchasing a luxurious $750,000 lakeside home in North Carolina.

Jon who was furious with Kate’s behavior said:

“It’s disgusting and it’s morally wrong,”
“Parents are not supposed to withdraw any money from these accounts without permission and without drawing up paperwork that they will pay it back — but she has produced no paperwork and no payments have been made.

He added:

“You can’t just live off your kids’ money,”

But in the documents, the mother of eight claimed that all of her children owe her money because she was the one who paid for their private school tuition out of her pocket.

She said:

“So I mean I’m not looking to collect that but I borrowed $100,000 from the kids’ trust. And it owes me $387,000 technically.”

Jon accuses Kate of alienating him from his kids

Jon claims that Kate has not yet paid the amount back to her children despite a judge ruling that she should do it.

Kate’s lawyers denied commenting on the accusations.

Although the former couple shares eight kids, the 45-year-old claims that he only shares a good relationship with Hannah and Collin.

The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star revealed:

“[Communicating with] the children that live with Kate is very difficult because I don’t have an open relationship with them,”

He further claims that it was because of Kate that their sextuplets were away from him. He added:

“[Kate] alienated me from those kids. I think it was a poor parenting decision. It would’ve been much better if she would have been more open with them and explained things better.”

While Hannah and Collin have been living with their father since August 2021, their other children live with Kate.
