Joshua worked as a council repairman in a day and joggled being a reggae impresario at night. He found himself comfortable in Norway and decided not to return to the Gambia.
He joined Valerenga in 2006 at the age of 8 which is a Norwegian club known for the reputation of developing and projecting young players into bigger academics in Europe.
Joshua began playing professionally in 2008, representing one of the world’s best club Manchester United in the English Premier League. He made his official premier league debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 23 September 2009.
After a season, he joined Preston North End on a three-month loan deal on 7 August 2010 and debuted for the club on 24 September 2009, in a match against Doncaster Rovers.
Later, he was sent on a loan to Hull City on 16 January 2012 and made his club debut on 21 January 2012, against Reading. Further, he joined Blackburn Rovers on loan until 31 December 2012. He further decided to make a permanent move with the club.
Later, he switched to Bournemouth on 28 May 2015, and his debut for the club came on 8 August 2015. In addition, he has represented his national team Norway at both junior and senior levels. His professional international debut for his national team came on 7 September 2012, in a friendly match against Iceland.
