On his Instagram Story Wednesday, he compared his new look to Jaws from the “007” franchise.
According to the Daily Mail, West custom-designed his new teeth for $850,000.

The controversial rapper created a buzz when he showed off his new metallic dentures on his Instagram Story which the Daily Mail reported to be worth a jaw-dropping $850,000.

In his second post, the Love Lockdown rapper, 46, compared his new look to the James Bond villain, Jaws, who had a mouth of metal.

The villain made his appearance in 1977’s The Spy Who Loved Me and 1979’s Moonraker.

According to the outlet, West had his teeth fully removed and replaced with custom-made titanium debentures by the self-proclaimed “Father of Diamond Dentistry,” Dr. Thoma Connelly, and cosmetic dentist Naoki Hayashi.

But Connelly denied removing West’s natural teeth, telling Complex,

“He did not have his teeth removed. He still has a full dentition. Healthy and happy 😁.”

Kanye gushed about his new assets on Instagram, writing,

“Ye was a pleasure to work with every step of the process,”
“His vision for designing unique art transcends the dental progression.”

The father of four added,

“The marriage of his Vision with dental science has created a new look that is epic!”

While West and Connelly seemed proud of the job, internet users, however, were not impressed with the Grammy winner’s unusual dental work.

One X user slammed the rapper, writing,

“He is still an idiot, more money than brains!!! Get Help Man!”

Another wrote,

“No way Kanye west went through with that. Look like he wrapped his teeth with gum wrapper💀😭,”

A third user commented,

”Poor Bianca having to look at that now every day! I didn’t think he could possibly get any less attractive, yet he found a way.”

Teeth grills are not a surprise in West’s family

The rapper’s titanium dental work isn’t the first time he has done some design on his teeth.

In 2010, during his appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ye claimed that he had his bottom teeth taken out and replaced with real diamonds.

He explained,

“I just thought that diamonds were cooler. … It’s certain stuff that rock stars are supposed to do,”

West admitted that he had to make frequent visits to his dentist to maintain his expensive chompers.

He later told Vanity Fair that he removed his teeth instead of opting for a grill because he “didn’t feel like having to take them out all the time.”

Surprisingly, West isn’t the only member of his family to do so.

Last June, his son, Saint, 8, debuted his teeth decorated with metallic Louis Vuitton logos on social media.

His former wife, Kim Kardashian also once had an opal and diamond grill.
