The reality star Karen Larrea left the HBO Max show, ‘My Mom, Your Dad’ early in the sixth episode.

If you were related to The Bachelorette, Love Island, or any other reality show, you would have heard about the new HBO Max show ‘My Mom, Your Dad.’

It is a dating show that gives single parents a second chance at love after a broken marriage or two while living under the same roof.

Parents and their kids are also the part of the show which the parents are unaware of. The children have the power they can virtually interfere in their parents’ dates and intervene when they believe their parent is repeating old mistakes.

Karen Larrea on ‘My Mom, Your Dad’

Karen’s instant chemistry with Troy Petrick stood out among the rest of the cast from the moment they first saw each other. On the show, even her daughter Breana Symone Sturgis and his son Noah Petrick noticed their instant connection.

However, Larrea has to leave earlier from the show because of her family emergency. She did not elaborate on her reasons for leaving the show, instead citing “personal issues” in a letter to Troy.

While speaking to Distractify she said,

“We had a family emergency and we had to leave,”

She also addressed her felling while departing from the show for Troy. She said,

“It was very difficult, because we were getting very close. It’s like someone was just ripped away from me, and then my heart had to go back into focusing on my family and my daughter first.”

Shortly after, Troy also decided to go as well, since he only wanted to pursue Karen at that point in the show. He stated while leaving the show,

“It’s no secret that Karen and I had a connection. And [with] her not being here, [it] doesn’t make much sense for me to stick around.”

Are Karen and Troy still together

While they were both on the show, they both committed to starting a relationship when they returned to their normal lives. Once they did admit to moving forward together as a couple while discussing their future. Afterward, they didn’t appear together on the show so far.

Troy clarified that it would be a “committed relationship”. He said,

“I’m ready to be in a relationship with you,”

In response, Karen stated, “I absolutely would love that,”. Karen noted to Distractify that she would be open to discussing her current relationship status with Troy on a show reunion special (if there is one).
