Split alert! Kaycee Clark and Nany Gonzalez, stars of MTV’s The Challenge, have announced their breakup more than a year after getting engaged.

On January 25, 2025, they announced their separation on their Instagram Stories after being engaged for over a year and dating for over three years.

The joint statement reads,

“After a lot of reflection, Kaycee and I have decided to go our separate ways. This definitely wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s what’s best for the both of us,”

Similarly, they asked for privacy during this time and expressed gratitude to their supporters throughout their relationship.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way — we’re both moving forward with love and kindness in our hearts & we ask that you respect our need for privacy at this time.”

Earlier in January, the pair sparked breakup rumors after Gonzalez removed most photos of Clark from her Instagram account.

However, Clark, 37, still had videos and images of Gonzalez on her own feed at the time.

Following their breakup announcement, Clark hinted at moving out of their shared home in Arizona, while Gonzalez is set to appear in the upcoming season of The Challenge: All Stars.

However, the pair weren’t linked romantically until two years later, during the show “The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies.”

Reflecting on their journey, Gonzalez shared with E! News,

“We’ve always been allies in the game and have maintained a very good friendship since, but there was always an undeniable connection between the two of us,”

After the trailer for Spies, Lies, and Allies showed Clark and Gonzalez kissing, Clark’s ex, Tayler Jiminez, claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that Clark cheated on her with Gonzalez.

Jiminez wrote on X in July 2021,

“Kaycee and I broke up because I discovered disgustingly inappropriate text messages between her and that woman while we were STILL together dating all the way back to December in April,”

Despite the allegations, Clark and Gonzalez remained unaffected by the speculation surrounding their relationship.

They celebrated their second anniversary in August 2023, with Clark expressing on Instagram her eagerness for a long future together, stating she felt “ready for the next 1,000 years with” Gonzalez.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Gonzalez wrote,

“Our world has changed so much in two years but our love for each other has not, Let’s continue growing, learning and exploring this beautiful life together.”

The following month, the pair announced their engagement during their vacation in Thailand with Gonzalez captioning a since-deleted Instagram post.

“From the moment I met this woman, I knew that she was someone special, Our paths crossed in the most unexpected way, and I am forever grateful for that chance encounter. My heart is full of love and gratitude for the joy you have brought into my life, Kaycee Noelle.”

Similarly, the post featured a video of Clark and Gonzalez dancing on the beach in Phi Phi Islands.

At the video’s end, fire dancers revealed a sign that said, “Will you marry me?” Gonzalez then knelt and proposed to Clark while reading from a piece of paper.
