Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson are first-time parents of a baby boy

Congratulations are in order for Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson who recently welcomed their first baby together.

Palmer gave birth to a son whom they have named Leodis Andrellton Jackson on Saturday, February 25.

The couple lovingly nicknamed their son Leo.

The Alice actress took to her social media on Monday to reveal the great news as she shared a glimpse into her and her boyfriend’s life after welcoming their baby boy.

The couple treated fans with a photo of them after “only 48 hours of being parents,” and also a video of them having fun on Someone by El Debarge.

Palmer captioned her post,

“We became each other’s someone and made a someone, look at God!”

The Nope star also shared an intimate picture of the first-time parents holding their son right after his birth. Fans also got to see some solo snaps of baby Leo.

“I’m not hiding the world from my son, I’m hiding my son from the world,”

Keke, 29, confirmed pregnancy while appearing on Saturday Night Live in December. In her monologue, the former Disney Channel star told the audience,

“I want to set the record straight — I am [pregnant],”

She gushed about how blessed she felt to be having a family of her own.

Palmer added,

Keke and Darius tried to keep their relationship out of the spotlight on most occasions but the fitness instructor did give fans a hint at his girlfriend’s due date.

Keke talked about her PCOS struggles

Long before she announced her pregnancy, Palmer told Ricky Smiley that she definitely wanted to be a mother at some point in her life.

In August 2019, Keke said in an interview,

“I don’t want to have kids too later on because I definitely want to be able to get that snap back,”
“But at the same time, I don’t really want to have a kid just yet.”

The next year, the Akeelah and the Bee star found out that she was suffering from PCOS, a hormonal disorder that causes females to have excess hair growth, obesity, and infertility.

In December 2022, Palmer opened up about how the disorder was attacking her entire life and discussed about her acne struggles.

Keke told her fans,

“My acne has been so bad that people in my field offered to pay for me to get it fixed,”
“I tried EVERYTHING. I did all that, I ate all the ‘right’ things, my blood tests were fine.

She concluded,

“It took ME taking a personal look into my family that has a history of diabetes and obesity to understand what was ACTUALLY happening with me,”

The actress often slams those who troll her skin and call her ugly on social media.

At the time, Palmer tweeted,

“I’m beautiful in real life, because of who I am, not what I look like,”
