  • Baumgartner, however, said that she will do it only under a certain condition.
  • The handbag designer filed for divorce from the actor on May 1.

Christine Baumgartner demands more money from Kevin Costner

Christine Baumgartner, the estranged wife of Kevin Costner, said she is willing to leave the actor’s $145 million mansion only if he fulfills her demand.

The handbag designer has been living in Costner’s lavish property despite their long-standing prenup detailing that she had only 30 days to vacate their home after she filed for divorce on May 1.

After a messy legal here and there, Christine revealed she will leave the estate only if the Yellowstone actor provides her with more money to guarantee that she won’t be left penniless, according to Radar Online.

The 49-year-old said she wants the 68-year-old movie star to pay any support fees that the judge orders him to at an upcoming hearing.

The outlet claimed that Christine promised she would leave the area on August 31, 2023, if Costner pays ‘‘whatever support and fee orders that the court makes on July 12”

It means that Christine will now have 50 days to pack up and find a new place to live in.

The mother of three admitted that she didn’t leave the home the couple once shared with their kids without proper financial support.

Additionally, she also said that it is not fair that their three kids Cayden Wyatt, 15, Hayes Logan, 14, and Grace Avery, 13, have to move many times.

In her court filing, Christine said that the actor “wants me to rent [a] place without [a] financial plan in place. However, [I] have our three children to think about. It is contrary to their best interests to commit to rental that [I] may not be able to afford, particularly as that would ultimately lead to multiple relocations.”

She added,

“My goal has been and continues to be maintaining as much stability for our children as possible, which includes having the proper resources and plan in place so that [I] can establish [a] stable home for them, rather than making temporary and inconsistent housing arrangements,”

Why did Christine file for divorce from Kevin Costner?

It was previously noted that Kevin Costner was willing to give Christine $1.2 million after their divorce settlement.

Documents obtained by TMZ also showed that Costner was willing to “contribute as part of his child support obligations $30K per month for a rental house and is willing to advance another $10K for her moving costs.”

Last month, Christine shocked Kevin when she filed for divorce after 18 years of marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

She did not ask for spousal support but asked for joint custody of their kids.

The very next day, Costner responded to the petition saying that he wants the joint custody of their kids, as well.

While Christine did not disclose the exact reason for the divorce, many believe that it was due to Kevin’s unavailability at home for his family most of the time.

Sources close to the couple revealed that no infidelity was involved.
