Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are no longer a married couple! Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 44, has filed for divorce from her now-estranged husband after eleven years of marriage.
According to a court document obtained by TMZ, the Bravolebrity cited “irretrievably broken” as the reason for their divorce and said there is ” no hope of reconciliation”.
Kim asked for primary physical custody and joint legal custody of the kids alongside spousal support. Similarly, she is hoping to legally restore her maiden name.
The former couple shared four children Kroy Jr., 11, Kash, 10, and twins Kane and Kaia, 9. Further, the reality TV star is also a mother to daughters Brielle, 25, and Ariana, 21, from her previous relationship.

In 2013, Kroy legally adopted Kim’s daughter and changed their last name to Biermann.
As per the court document, the couple’s official separation date was listed as April 30.
How long have Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann been together?
Kim and Kroy exchanged vows in November 2011 more than a year after dating. The wedding ceremony took place at their Georgia home with attendant 160 guests including Real Housewives co-stars Nene Leakes, Phaedra Parks, Cynthia Bailey, and more.
Their wedding was officiated by Kim’s longtime friend Pastor Le’Andria Johnson.
Similarly, their big day was documented in the first season of Don’t Be Tardy aired on Bravo.
The divorce news comes as a shock for all because just six months ago, the two reflected on the key of their long-term relationship. In a November 2022 interview with E! News, Kim shared,
“Choosing to love that person day in and day out, I think it’s a choice,and a lot of times people are just so quick to throw in the towel.”
“When things get tough, people don’t want to stay true to their vows and stay true to their partner. They’d rather just say screw it and try it on the next one, but you got to hold true to your promises that you gave that person when you were standing in front of your friends and family.”

Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann have experienced financial woes
Kim and Kroy had been facing financial issues in recent months as they reportedly owe over a million dollars in taxes to the IRS.
In February, Fulton County Courthouse issued a notice that Trust Bank would auction the property of the pair after they defaulted on a $1.65 million loan they took out for the property in October 2012.
However, Zolciak denied the foreclosure and sale rumors earlier stating,
“If you guys think I would let my home that we’ve put millions and millions of dollars into go for $257,000, you’re an idiot, okay? For real”
